On the SCO machine :

• · Log in and create a unix session
• · cd /usr1/oracle/backups
• · uncompress sco7.exp.0422.Z (or whatever the current day is)
• · leave window open - we will need it later

On the Ntdemo machine :

• · Login to the EDUMET domain when logging on.
• · Launch an MSDOS window.
• · cd \tmp
• · ftp sco
• · user/password of root/******
• · cd /usr1/oracle/backups
• · bin (for binary transfer)
• · get sco7.exp.0422 (or whatever the current day is - about 60+ Mb)
• · quit
• · leave dos window open - we will need it later

On the SCO machine :

• · compress weekendunix.exp
• · exit

On the Ntdemo machine :

• · Launch the Oracle Security Manager with the following criteria :

• User : system
• Password : manager
• Database : nt8 Connect
• As : normal

• · Now while in the Security Manger, drop user edumet (takes up to 5 minutes because it drops all objects)

• · Then we need to re-create user edumet with the following criteria :

• Profile : default
• Authorization : password
• Password : edumet
• Confirmation : edumet
• Default tablespace : EDUMET
• Temp tablespace : TEMP
• Granted Roles : connect, dba, exp_full_database, imp_full_database, and resource (w/ admin) : alter any table, create any table (w/ admin)

• · Close Security Manager
• · Go back to the MSDOS prompt for import :

• cd /tmp (must be in directory where the import file is)
• imp80 (to launch the import tool in command mode - gui doesnt work properly)
• User : edumet
• Password : edumet
• Import File : weekendunix.exp
• Enter Insert Buffer Size : <ENTER>
• List Import Only : no
• Ignore Create Error : yes
• Import Grants : yes
• Import Table Data : yes
• Import Entire Export : no (This is VERY important)
• Username : edumet
• Table/Partition/Null : <ENTER> (This will bring all objects in and takes about 30 min.)

• Note that you will receive errors/warnings on chained_rows, and util_call12 about rowid. Its ok.

• · Now copy over all forms, by bringing up an explorer window.

• At the bottom of the left hand window pane, go to network neighborhood.
• Navigate to edumetnt\oracle_nt\forms\edumet
• Copy all forms in right hand pane to c:\oracle (takes about 5 minutes)
